Hello classmates, today I’d like to talk about of the most important artist to me, I really admire his job. Last post I talk about Javier Marin because I think he is amazing, but this post is related to something important to art and I think this artist is.
The extraordinary Swiss artist Hans Rudolf
Giger died 12 may 2014 because of a fall at age 74. His work has been called
"surreal" by some critics, but his art work is associated rather the
term "biomechanical" by the constant conjunction of hybrid organic
machines.
HR Giger's influence on the film had its
peak in 1979 Alien, directed by Ridley Scott, a film that won the Oscar for
best special effects. Other films in which he worked are Species, Poltergeist
II, Dune and latest Prometheus other film who is also directed by Ridley Scott.
Giger was the creator of the esthetic that fuses technology and cosmic horror.
But Giger's work also includes the concept
for music videos and even decoration is a big referent for industrial design. This is a picture of the cover of the album KooKoo (1981) of Debbie Harry.
